Meath Enterprise History

The Navan (Meath) Enterprise Centre has been in operation for almost 15 years. In that period the company has transformed a run down building that was the Exhibition Centre, into a modern complex of offices, light industrial and production units with a total area of 85,000 square feet.

The Enterprise Centre is located on a 5-acre site and is divided into 39 units both large and small. It is a managed development with facilities such as meeting rooms and canteens provided by the landlord. There is an abundance of free parking and the site is well lit at night and has a constant level of security.

The main objective of the Centre has always been to develop good quality workspace of a manageable size and at a competitive rate. We provide and ideal environment for start-up projects while at the same time accommodating more established employers.

The Navan Enterprise Centre Co Ltd has always been conscious of the pivotal role it plays in promoting enterprise and employment in Navan and surrounding areas. Since its establishment in 1998, when seed capital from Meath Co Co and Navan Town Council and grant aid from Enterprise Ireland and Meath County Enterprise Board got the project started, the Navan Enterprise Centre has seized every opportunity to expand and has embraced a wide variety of proposals.

Together with the County Enterprise Board and other agencies the Navan Enterprise Centre has always tried to foster employment growth, training and enterprise development in the region and our most recent extension is a prime example of our commitment to supporting local business and economic development. The new 11,000 sq. ft. extension which cost €800,000 and was completed in May 2013 was fully funded by the Navan Enterprise Centre Co Ltd with no assistance or funding from any of the state agencies.

In these difficult times this was an extremely big investment to be making but one the Centre and the board endorsed because that is the ethos of the company. To continually expand and drive business momentum in the region in an effort to create gainful and sustainable employment.

We are constantly searching for new projects, ideas and concepts that can have a positive impact on the local community and the local environment and for new businesses that can create gainful employment in the short, medium or long term and we will continue to work hard in this regard.
