Business Expo seeks new ideas for promoting Kells to the world
Even though Kells has been extremely successful at attracting FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in recent times, with several international businesses such as Mafic, SWG, MDS Global, Deko Foods and Clearplass locating in the region and the arrival of the internationally renound Hay Festival, we are looking for ideas from local business owners and key stakeholders that will support the promotion of the Kells District to the world.
The Kells & District Business Expo will take place in the Headfort Arms Hotel on Thursday 30th April 2015 from 4pm to 7pm. The purpose of the event, which is being organised by Meath Enterprise, will be to showcase some of the new and expanding businesses in the area, explore ways of attracting further FDI and tourism traffic into Kells, advise business owners how to access much needed funding and, through open discussion, start developing a draft action plan for promoting the Kells District nationally and internationally.
Exhibitors on the day will include some of the relevant state agencies, venture capital firms, some of the newest and largest employers in the region, the various lending and funding institutions and many more. There will also be panel discussion and speakers addressing the topics outlined above.
Gary O’Meara – Manager of Meath Enterprise said “Our objective is to provide the vehicle to showcase the many benefits of doing business in Kells and the Business Expo will provide all the relevant information needed to anybody interested in or considering starting, growing or re-locating a business to the region”.
