Meath Enterprise Week 2015 – A Showcase for Food, Digital & Entrepreneurship
Building on the success of last year’s Meath Enterprise Week, 2015 promises to be even bigger. With an objective to showcase Meath to the world in the areas of Food, Digital and Entrepreneurship over 20 events will be held from November 16th to 19th, culminating in a Conference and Showcase Exhibition that will take place on November 19th in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim. The four-day programme will be held in different locations across County Meath and includes Food, Digital and Enterprise events, seminars, workshops and schools programmes.
A steering committee of business people with specific expertise in the three theme areas was formed by Gary O’Meara, Manager of Meath Enterprise some months ago to develop the week long programme of events. Chaired by Mr. O’Meara the committee include Rosita Moyles, JM Food Services; Conor Lynch, CEO/Founder of Connector and SocialMedia.ie; Margaret McKeon-Boyle, Extensive PR Ltd; Tara Smith, Meath County Council; Felicia Ogboru, Meath Enterprise; John Cunningham, Epicom Ireland Ltd; Amanda Murphy, Regional Manager, AIB; Paul Murtagh, Business Consultant and Mentor; Cllr Joe Reilly, Chairman, Meath Enterprise and newly appointed CEO Local Enterprise Office Meath, Joe English.
Gary said “Our objective is to provide the vehicle to showcase Meath as a place to do business. With the recent announcements around the Boyne Valley Food Hub project and Facebook, it can be very clear to all that the themes Food, Digital and Entrepreneurship will play a significant role in the future development of the region. There can be no doubt that there are very challenging but exciting times ahead for Meat, and Meath Enterprise Week is the perfect opportunity for people to get connected and involved”
Meath Enterprise Week initiative is being supported by Meath County Council; Meath Enterprise; Local Enterprise Office Meath; AIB, The Meath Chronicle; LMFM, IrishTV, GEN Ireland and the Cusack Hotel Group.
