RiseLab #SpeakSessions How to complete a Gap Analysis Masterclass

Rise lab #SpeakSessions proudly hosted another masterclass this time from the digital media lab at its Meath Enterprise Hub on the 27th  of April.

The masterclass was hosted by our very own EXPERT Helena Hughes, who is the operations and business development manager here at Meath enterprise. Helena has worked in the food sector for over 20 years predominantly in product development where she learned first-hand about the value of a gap analysis when she worked alongside her equivalents in the leading Irish Retailers.

This Masterclass took us on a deep dive into the many types of gap analysis that you can complete that can add real value to your business such as a business gap analysis, category gap analysis, product/ service gap analysis and even a social media gap analysis. This helped frame conversations around strategy, competitive advantage, trust, brand awareness, excellence, honesty, and market share.

We went on a journey of discovery sharing our insights and experiences on how a gap analysis can add value to your business. We had interactive discussions on how the gap analysis can help you stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in your field and how this can help you identify new opportunities for growth, innovation, and expansion.

We also discussed how a gap analysis can also help you understand your competitors’ strengths and weaknesses. By comparing your performance metrics against industry benchmarks, you can see where you excel and where you need improvement. This led into discussions on how this can help develop strategies to differentiate yourself and gain a competitive advantage over your competitors. We also identified that it could help pinpoint areas where you need to prioritize your efforts by identifying the areas where you need to focus your resources. By focusing on the areas with the biggest gaps, you can make the most significant improvements to your business. This can provide valuable insights into what customers are looking for and what they value.

We discussed how a gap analysis can help you improve your products or services to better meet their needs and preferences of your customers. They can help you understand your customers’ interests and preferences. This can help you create more relevant and engaging content that resonates with them. And finally, we discussed how a gap analysis can help you stay on top of industry news and developments. This can help you establish yourself as an authority in your field and enhance your reputation as a thought leader.

The masterclass was delivered by a professional whose knowledge and expertise came shining through. The knowledge imparted to the room sparked some interesting conversations. It was interesting to hear the stories in the room and learn from shared experiences.

Thank you to all who made it to the masterclass, I hope that you enjoyed all the insights and to Helena many thanks for your time, and passion.
